My barista said she tracks her mood with coffee doodles in her journal
I was getting my usual coffee this morning and she showed me a page where she draws a tiny cup next to her daily log, shaded in based on her energy level. It made me think about using simple symbols instead of writing long notes for my own weekly review. Do you use any small drawings or icons to track things quickly?

My weekly planner is just a bunch of sad faces and lightning bolts for when my energy crashes. It looks like a cartoon character's thought bubble. The barista's method is way more artistic than my system, which mostly tracks how close I am to needing a nap.

Hold up, that's not a bad system at all. It's actually really smart. You're tracking your real energy levels, not just fake busywork. Those sad faces and lightning bolts give you honest data. My fancy planner just lies to me with perfect little checkboxes. Your way shows when you actually hit a wall, so you can plan around it next time.

Honestly that "honest data" line hit me. I used to force myself to finish my whole to-do list even when I was wiped out by 2pm. Tbh now I just put a big "X" through those afternoons. It's not a fail, it's just info. Next week I know not to plan anything hard after lunch, just easy stuff. My planner used to make me feel bad, now it just shows the truth.
