My bullet journal tracker addiction finally broke me
I used to track every single thing - water intake, steps, screen time, mood, even how many times I sneezed. Yesterday I realized I spent 45 minutes coloring in a graph about my sleep quality and I don't even know what it told me. Anyone else ditch a specific tracker after realizing it was useless?

My buddy Mike had the same problem with his step tracker. He was so into hitting 10,000 steps every day that he'd pace around his living room at midnight if he was short. One day he realized he didn't even know why he cared so much about the number, it just made him anxious when he didn't hit it. He quit the whole thing cold turkey after that and now he just walks when he feels like it, no guilt involved. Kind of freeing once you let go of the useless stuff.

Yeah I used to think trackers were totally harmless but honestly this made me rethink all of it.

The whole 10,000 thing was just a marketing gimmick anyway. Some Japanese company made it up to sell pedometers in the 60s.
