PSA: a cheap gel pen vs. a decent one is a game changer

I mean, I was using this pack of basic gel pens from the dollar store for months, just for my weekly spreads. Switched to a single Uni-ball Signo 0.38 last week, and idk, it just glides. No more skipping or blotting through the page, and my handwriting actually looks neat for once. Has anyone else had a simple tool upgrade make their whole bujo feel better?

Honestly, the "scratchy and dry" thing is too real. I was using a pen that felt like dragging a stick through gravel for way too long before I figured it out.

Right? What pen did you try that changed your mind? I got a cheap fountain pen on a whim and it was a total game changer. The way the ink flows onto the page just feels completely different. Now I notice how scratchy and dry most ballpoints are, and I can't go back.
