PSA: My bullet journal fell into a fountain at the Denver Botanic Gardens
I was trying to sketch a flower layout for a future weekly spread, leaning over the water. My pen slipped, I fumbled, and the whole journal went splash. Fished it out, but the pages were soaked and my ink bled everywhere. Now I have a weird, wavy, watercolor effect on like fifteen pages that I can't use. Anyone have ideas for how to salvage a waterlogged journal, or should I just start a new one?

Okay but is it actually ruined? That watercolor effect sounds kind of cool, like a happy accident. Just let it dry and write over it.

Totally agree, that watercolor thing can look awesome. Spilled tea on a sketch once and it ended up being my favorite part.

My friend's kid dropped their whole backpack in a creek last year. The math book was a lost cause, but the sketchbook dried all crinkly and neat. They ended up gluing stuff over the wrinkled parts and using the blotchy pages for abstract backgrounds. It became this really cool mixed media project. Maybe you could press it under some heavy books once it's mostly dry to flatten it out. Then you can collage or paint right over those wavy pages.
