Reusing packaging paper for draft spreads slashed my notebook waste
Lately, I see more bullet journal people trying to reduce their environmental footprint. I began sketching my weekly layouts on the blank sides of old packing paper before committing to my journal. It lets me test colors and formats without using fresh pages. My friend even uses dried leaves as natural page markers in her bujo. This approach has made my planning process more deliberate and less wasteful. It feels good to mix creativity with care for the planet. Simple swaps like this can make a big difference over time.

Use those practice spreads as backgrounds for future journal DECORATIONS, maximizing every scrap.

You call that a scrap? My packing paper drafts look like a toddler's art project after a sugar rush. By the time I'm done testing layouts, it's more scribble than paper. Roberts95 has a point though, maybe I could tape the really bad ones over mistakes in my actual journal. That's not being eco-friendly, that's just being cheap and covering my tracks.
