Serious question, did anyone else think habit trackers were a total waste of time?
I avoided them for months because I figured just writing stuff down wouldn't change anything. Then my friend in Chicago told me to try a super simple one for just two things, drinking water and making my bed, for a single week. Seeing those two unbroken lines of dots after 7 days actually felt really good and kept me going. What's a habit that actually stuck for you using a tracker?

Yeah that part about the two unbroken lines of dots is so real. I started with just tracking if I went outside for a walk. It sounds dumb but seeing that chain of checkmarks made me not want to break it. Now I actually miss it if I don't go. It turned a "should do" into a "want to do" just by having a visual record.

Totally get that! It's wild how a simple visual can rewire your brain like that, and I see where @dakota194 is coming from too. The dots don't fix anything by themselves, but they can sure help you build the fix.

That part about turning a "should do" into a "want to do" is exactly it. I put my habit tracker right on my fridge door, so I see it all the time. Out of sight really is out of mind with this stuff.

My Chicago friend swears by them too, but honestly, how much does a row of dots really fix?
