Switched to a single pen color for a whole month in my bujo
I got tired of picking colors and decided to use only a black 0.5mm gel pen for all of March. I thought it would look boring, but it made my weekly spreads so much faster to set up. I finished my Monday layout in about 15 minutes, which is half my usual time. The clean look actually helped me focus on my tasks instead of the decoration. Has anyone else done a 'monochrome month' and stuck with it?

Read a blog post a while back about someone doing a whole year in just pencil, which seems wild to me. Your point about setup speed makes total sense, less time fiddling means more time actually doing the stuff you wrote down. I might have to try a monochrome week myself, because my bujo has been collecting dust lately (too much effort). That clean, focused look you described is honestly pretty appealing.

It's like a low-friction life hack, honestly.

Honestly, that's such a mood. I tried a blue-only week once and it was a total game changer. My brain just stopped getting stuck on choosing between like, teal or navy for headers. Everything just flowed onto the page. It made the actual writing part, you know, the point of the thing, way easier. Tbh I should probably go back to that instead of letting my whole rainbow pen collection guilt trip me.
