That week I tried a full monthly spread without any trackers or habit logs

Last month I decided to go completely bare bones. No mood tracker, no water log, no expense chart. Just the monthly calendar and a few task lists. It felt wrong at first, like I was skipping the whole point of bullet journaling. But honestly? I got more done that week than in months of color coding my sleep hours. I didn't have to flip through five pages to find where I wrote down that dentist appointment. Has anyone else tried stripping it all the way down and found it worked better?

My friend Sarah tried this exact thing back in February and she said it was like her journal finally started working FOR her instead of her working FOR it. She kept just the calendar and one running list for random thoughts, and suddenly she actually looked at the pages instead of just filling them in. She said the real test was when she forgot to log her water for three days and NOTHING bad happened, which honestly sounded like a tiny miracle to me.

Didn't I read somewhere that Marie Kondo says minimal sparks more joy with planning? I tried ditching all my extra spreads last month too and my brain felt way less cluttered.
