A chat with my accountant that made me ditch my pricing model

I had coffee with my accountant last Tuesday, and he straight up told me my pricing was leaving 30% on the table. He showed me numbers from three local shops in Columbus that charge more than double what I do for the same service. It hit me hard because I thought being the cheapest was a strategy for growth. Has anyone else had a professional call them out like that and force a change?

Yeah, did you ever have a moment where someone just straight up told you something you didn't want to hear and it actually helped? For me it was a buddy telling me I was being a downer all the time lol. I was pretty annoyed at first, but i sat on it for a day and realized he was right. So i started catching myself when i was being negative and just tried to flip it into something useful. It's tough but man, once you start doing it it gets easier and people actually wanna be around you more.
