Burned $800 on a Facebook ad course that taught me nothing new

Signed up for this flashy course back in 2021 because the guy promised he'd show me the secret to cheap clicks. Ended up being just basic stuff I could've found on YouTube for free. Has anyone else gotten tricked by one of these so-called gurus?

That $800 couldve bought you a lot of things, like a used couch or 800 tacos. I got roped into one of those "Facebook ads ninja" things back in 2019, turned out the dude just showed me how to use the boost button. Like wow thanks, I coulda figured that out in 5 minutes watching a cat video on YouTube. The real secret to cheap clicks is just running ads to your grandma's cat pics, not a course.

LOL @craig.john you're so right about the grandma cat pics thing. I fell for one of those "social media guru" courses too and it was basically just a guy reading the Facebook help page out loud for two hours. Worst part is I can't even get my money back because the refund window was like 3 days. At least we learned our lesson the hard way I guess.

That 3 day refund window, did they mention that in the ad before you paid?
