Dropped $2,000 on a flashy marketing automation tool and got almost nothing back
I thought HubSpot would fix my pipeline issues but after 6 months of setup and tweaking, my conversion rates barely moved. Did anyone else burn cash on a hyped platform that just didn't deliver for a small business?

My buddy dropped $3k on a sales CRM and spent MONTHS learning it. His pipeline actually got WORSE because he was too busy tweaking settings to follow up with leads.

Did he try just using a simple spreadsheet instead? Sometimes the free tools work better than the expensive ones when you're a one-person operation.

How long did you stick with it before you realized it wasn't working? I feel your pain because I had the same thing happen with a different tool a couple years back. All those slick demos make it look like you just flip a switch and leads start pouring in, but the reality is these platforms are built for companies with entire teams to manage them. For a small business like mine, it was just me trying to learn all the features while my actual work piled up. The worst part was the contract lock-in, I couldn't even cancel without losing half the money. Hope you can find something that actually fits your size.
