Finally got our first 10k month and it was because of a random Tuesday

We're a tiny web design shop in Austin, and last Tuesday we landed a single client project that was bigger than our usual. It was a referral from a coffee shop owner we helped last fall. That one project pushed our revenue over $10,000 for the month, which felt impossible six months ago. Has anyone else had a single referral just completely change your momentum?

My biggest referral last year came from a guy I fixed his mom's printer for, which is honestly a sad statement on my business development skills. Man, that printer story hits close to home. My whole business sometimes feels built on weird favors that somehow come back around. Celebrating is key though, even if it's just a nicer bottle of something for dinner. Gotta mark the wins when they land, because you're right, the next day you're just back in the grind making sure everything's perfect.
