Lost a client who 3x my monthly revenue then came crawling back
I hit my first 5k month in March after grinding for 8 months straight, then one of my biggest clients ghosted me in April. That contract alone was 60% of my income so I panicked hard and started cold emailing like crazy. Has anyone else had a client bounce only to realize the grass wasn't greener and come back?

cold emailing like crazy" - I did the exact same thing when my biggest retainer client dropped me without warning. Here's what helped - I started treating every client like they might leave tomorrow by building in automatic checkpoints. Every month I send a short recap of what I did for them and what I plan to do next month, so they see my value constantly. I also started splitting my income across more smaller clients instead of leaning on one big one. When that client came back two months later saying their new person wasn't as reliable, I made them sign a longer contract with a penalty clause for early exit. It stings at first but that panic you felt is actually useful if it makes you bulletproof your business.
