My automated scheduling system double-booked 4 jobs in one day and I didn't catch it until morning

Spent 2 months building what I thought was a foolproof calendar for my pest routes, and it didn't flag overlapping addresses when the travel time between them was under 15 minutes. Anyone else had a software logic gap cost them a whole day of scrambling and pissed off customers?

Man, that's one of those gut punches where your own creation turns on you. The travel time gap is such a specific, brutal blind spot too, real easy to miss in testing until it bites you. Hope the damage control was quick and those customers came around.

Built a whole system in python with logic so tight I thought I was a genius. First day live it scheduled me for a job 45 miles away with a 30 minute window between two other jobs lmao. Spent my entire morning driving like a maniac and apologizing to customers who were not amused. The worst part was that same system that ruined my day also sent out automated "on our way" texts to the people I was about to be late for.

Bro that's brutal, the automated texts make it so much worse haha. The code doesn't care about your sanity or traffic apparently. Least your customers know you're "on the way" even if it takes an hour.
