My email list growth stalled hard after a platform change last quarter
I switched our main email service provider in April, thinking the new automation tools would boost signups. Instead, our list growth dropped from about 150 new subscribers a week to maybe 30. I think the new signup forms are too complicated, but my partner says our content just isn't compelling enough right now and the platform isn't the issue. We spent weeks setting up the migration and now I'm not sure if we should try to fix the new setup or just switch back. Has anyone else seen a big drop after changing their email marketing tools?

We saw a 60% drop when we moved to a new platform last year. The problem was the double opt-in was turned on by default and we didn't know. People just never clicked the confirmation email. Check your settings for any hidden steps like that.

Yikes, that's brutal. Double opt-in by default is such a trap. Platforms should really make that stuff obvious, not hide it in the settings. It's like they want you to fail so you keep paying for more contacts. Learned that lesson the hard way too.

Ugh, been there. My signup rate tanked when I got fancy with conditional logic on the form, asking for a birth month "to send a special gift." People just noped out. Went back to just name and email and it picked right back up.
