That $500 'business coach' I almost hired turned out to be a scam

I was this close to paying a guy for a 6 week program until I found 3 negative BBB complaints with almost the exact same wording. The red flag was none of them had any actual revenue numbers to back up their claims. Anyone else run into fake gurus promising quick growth?

Did your guy have a fancy website with fake testimonials too? My friend almost fell for one of these last year. She paid $300 for a "growth blueprint" and the guy just sent her a google doc with basic advice she could have found for free. The worst part was he promised to hop on weekly calls but ghosted her after the first one. She tried to get her money back and he just ignored her emails. It took her months to stop feeling stupid about it, but honestly these people are good at what they do.
