The $40 timer that fixed my email problem
I was losing every afternoon to answering customer messages one by one, and my replies always came too late or too rushed. Last Tuesday I bought a cheap kitchen timer at a Target in Austin and set it to 25 minutes every morning. Now I batch all my responses in that window and ignore the inbox the rest of the day. My response time went from 6 hours to under 1, and I finally get actual work done before lunch. Has anyone else tried a hard time limit like this, or do you use some other system that beats the constant ping?
