Warning: hit 200 customers at my little print shop in Dayton and I nearly missed it
I run a tiny shirt printing business out of my garage in Dayton and I was going through my invoice folder on Sunday when I realized order 200 came in about 3 months ago. I honestly had no idea I was that close, I was just heads down printing and packing and never tracked it. What surprised me more was that 60 of those 200 came in the past 4 months alone, which tells me the word of mouth thing is actually working now. For a long time I was stuck around 8 to 10 orders a month and thought that was just my ceiling. Seeing the jump made me think I need to actually write this stuff down instead of guessing. How do you all keep track of your growth numbers without it eating up your whole day?
Keeping track of growth sounds like the same energy as me finding a $20 in a jacket I haven't worn since last winter. A simple notebook by the printer probably beats any fancy spreadsheet for people like us.
