Ditched the expensive legal retainer for a prepaid legal plan instead

Paid $600 for the year after my lawyer quoted me $400 an hour, and so far the document reviews have been solid with no hidden costs - has anyone else made this switch?

Did you actually test them on something complex before paying, like a contract dispute or a sales agreement with fine print? I almost jumped on a plan last year but got spooked when I asked about litigation support and they basically said "we'll write a letter" with no guarantee of court representation. It felt like the fine print could screw me if things went south.

Think you're overthinking this, most people just need basic document review anyway.
