Pro tip: get your lease looked at before you sign, I learned that at a strip mall in Tulsa
Stopped by a little office suite on South Memorial in Tulsa last month to help a friend who was about to sign a 3 year lease for her craft shop. The landlord's standard form had a clause that let him raise the CAM charges by any amount with 10 days notice, and she almost signed it right there. I had a lawyer friend look at it for $150 and she got that changed to a yearly cap before signing. Has anyone else run into sneaky CAM clauses like that, and how did you handle it?
