TIL my business partner's 'handshake deal' with a landscaper cost me $12,000 in legal fees last year
My partner told me we didn't need a written contract for a $50k mulch supply deal because we'd known the guy for 10 years, and when he backed out halfway through the season we had zero legal standing to recover our money, so has anyone else had a longtime business relationship turn sour over no paperwork?
