A warped cabinet door taught me to always test wood moisture

I built a set with wood that seemed dry but it bent out of shape after a week. Now I stick a meter in every board before I cut anything.

Remember my friend who kept that warped baking sheet? It would spin like a top if you set it down wrong. She insisted it gave her cookies "personality" because they baked a little uneven every time. We all laughed about whose cookie would end up with the giant crispy edge. Honestly, it just made baking at her place more fun, a little thing to joke about. She finally replaced it last month and said the first batch of perfect, flat cookies felt strangely boring.
