Can we talk about how my shop's cut times changed after one change to blade setup?
Two years ago I was fighting tearout on every oak face frame, and last month I clocked the same run at 40 percent faster with cleaner edges. A rep from a supplier in Grand Rapids walked me through switching to a 60 tooth blade and slowing my feed rate on the table saw, and it sounds dumb but the difference showed up in two days. My scrap pile in the corner is half the size it was, and my finish sanding dropped from 20 minutes a cabinet to about 12. What did it take for you all to stop blaming your technique and look at the blade first?
