Just figured out why my drawer boxes kept racking, and it was the clamp order
I was building 11 maple drawer boxes for a kitchen in Reno and every single one came out out of square by about 1/16 inch. I was checking my cuts, my blade, everything, and it turned out I was clamping the box together before the glue had a chance to let the parts slide into place. So I started dry fitting first, then adding glue and only snugging the clamps finger tight, then going back around and adding real pressure. Every box came out dead square after that, and I felt pretty dumb for not trying it sooner. Has anyone else run into this, or do you clamp hard right away and make it work?
