My table saw dado stack changed my mind on routers
I used routers for dados forever. This stack is faster and makes perfect cuts every time.

My buddy swore by his router for dados in plywood. He always had tear-out on the back side, no matter how he set it up. I let him try my table saw with a dado stack on a simple bookcase project. He cranked out all the shelving joints in minutes, perfectly square and clean. He bought his own stack the next week and hasn't touched the router for a dado since.

The first time I ran a 3/4" dado on my SawStop with a Forrest stack, I literally checked the cut three times because it was so clean I didn't believe it was real. No tear-out, no chipping, just crisp grooves that fit the plywood like it was made for it. My buddy spent years fighting with his router setup, trying different bits, changing speeds, using backer boards, but that table saw stack solved it in one pass. Once you feel that difference, there's really no going back. It's like driving a car with a decent stereo after years of AM radio static.

After hearing about 'perfectly square and clean' cuts, I'm convinced the table saw is the way to go.

It's funny how often we keep using the "good enough" tool because it's familiar. I see that everywhere, from how people organize their garages to the apps they stick with. Sometimes the better way is just sitting there waiting for you to try it.
