Spent 3 hours fixing a drawer that was 1/16 inch out of square
Turns out my tablesaw fence was off by a hair and I chased that gap through four test cuts and a whole sheet of plywood before I checked the fence with my square, so what's the dumbest thing you've chased for hours when the real problem was sitting right there the whole time?
Does a sixteenth of an inch on a drawer really matter though? Unless it's rubbing or the front looks crooked from across the room, you're the only one who will ever know that gap exists. I've learned to check the fence with a square before I even start cutting because chasing a tiny gap just makes more scraps and burns a whole afternoon. Sometimes good enough actually is good enough.
