Spent $600 on a panel saw sled jig and it nearly ruined my whole run of drawer fronts

I dropped 600 bucks on that aluminum panel saw sled for my table saw, thinking it'd make repeat cuts foolproof for a 20-door kitchen job. Turns out the alignment was off by 1/32 out of the box and I cut six doors undersize before I caught it with a square. Anyone else had to shim a brand new jig or did I just get a lemon?

My 800 dollar miter sled came with the same issue, had to shim the whole thing.

Spent three hours last night shimming my planer with beer can shims. @the_thea I feel your pain on that sled. My neighbor bought a $600 track saw and the miter gauge slot was machined crooked. He just returned it and got a different brand. Sometimes you gotta wonder if these companies even test their stuff before shipping it out. Made six picture frames with my messed up fence before I caught the error.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, and I felt like such a dummy because I wanted to brag about finally having a "pro" setup. @the_thea I feel your pain, that's a lot of dough to drop on frustration. I spent a whole Saturday making custom shims out of soda can aluminum for mine, and it still makes me nervous every time I set up a cut. You'd think at that price point they could get the 90 degree angles right from the factory. How are you planning to fix the six drawer fronts you already cut?
