The week my table saw tried to eat my lunch and my client's dog ate my sandpaper
So two Tuesdays back I'm finishing a set of maple drawer fronts for a lady over in Fairview, and I get a call that the stain she picked is discontinued. Fine, whatever. I drive 40 minutes to the supplier, and they've got one can left, dented, marked down to $9. I come back, set everything up, and my table saw kicks back a cutoff right past my ear. Just a little one, but it scared the tar out of me. Then her golden retriever wanders into the garage and eats half a sheet of 220 grit before I can grab him. I spent the rest of the day on the phone with a vet instead of sanding. The drawer fronts came out nice, but I'm still finding sawdust in weird places, and that dog is fine by the way. Quick question, do any of you keep the shop door shut when clients' pets are around, or am I the only one who learned that one the hard way?
