Appreciation post: That one Wednesday where everything just worked
Had a day last month in Phoenix where I pulled 4 drops in a house and every single termination passed on the first test. No reruns, no bad ends, no crawling back under the house to fix a pinched line. The homeowner even had cold water waiting for me. Has anyone else had one of those rare perfect days where nothing goes wrong?

Oh buddy, you hit the nail on the head. That cold water is basically a sign of the apocalypse in our line of work. Parker's right to be suspicious, I've had days where everything went smooth and then the next job I lost a toner in a drop ceiling for 45 minutes. It's like the universe lures you in with free hydration and easy terminations just to sucker punch you later. I half expect a letter in the mail from the cable gods demanding payment for all that good karma.

Man, cold water waiting for you? That's like finding a unicorn that also pays your bills. My perfect day was more of a "only had to crawl through the attic once" kind of situation. Dropped a keystone jack right into a bucket of paint once, so my bar for "perfect" is pretty low at this point. Those days where everything works make me suspicious, like the universe is just setting me up for a bigger disaster next week.

Oh come on, a perfect day just means the universe is finally paying you back for all those attic crawls.
