Blew $150 on a cable toner that quit after 3 days
Picked up that Klein toner from the supply house Tuesday thinking it would save me time tracing lines in a new build in Austin. By Friday it was dead as a doornail, wouldn't even light up after swapping batteries twice. Anyone else get burned by a tool that crapped out faster than a cheap extension cord?

Hey did you buy that from a local shop or online? My buddy picked one up from the same brand and it died on him after about a week of normal use, right in the middle of a rough job. He ended up just taking it back to the supply house and they swapped it out no questions asked.

...and there I was thinking I was the only guy unlucky enough to have one konk out on me. I got mine online and figured I just got a lemon, but hearing your buddy's story makes me wonder if they rushed these things out. Guess I should've just walked into the supply house like a normal person instead of trying to save five bucks online.

Wait, a week of normal use? That's even worse than my 3 days. Figured I just got a dud but if it's a pattern that's ridiculous for what they charge.
