Ground block vs direct bury splice, picked wrong on a lake job
Had a job near Lake Norman last month, customer wanted the line buried along their dock. I chose a direct bury splice instead of putting in a proper ground block before the run. Three days later the signal dropped, water got in the splice even though it was rated for it. Should I have just run conduit and spent the extra $45, or is there a better waterproof connector anyone trusts for damp spots?
