Had a squirrel chew through a main line in a Denver attic yesterday, and the fix involved a garden hose.
Was up there replacing the line, and the homeowner's kid decided to 'help wash the dust off' by spraying the hose through the vent. Got a full shower of attic grime and fiberglass. What's the weirdest thing you've had happen mid-job?

A garden hose through the vent is a new one. I was once redoing a bathroom floor and the family cat got locked in with me. It decided the fresh mortar was the world's best litter box. Had to scrape it all out and start over while the thing just stared at me from the toilet tank.

That "full shower of attic grime" sounds like the worst kind of surprise. I can't even imagine the grit and fiberglass. It makes me wonder, did the kid know what they were doing or was it just a total accident? Like @uma_taylor47 and the cat, sometimes you just get sabotaged by the house. What did you even say to the homeowner after that?
