Heads up on the new green fiber sheathing in the Westgate complex

I've seen three guys this month strip it back too far with a standard blade, exposing the inner buffer and causing signal loss. The material is way softer than the old stuff, so you only need a light score. Anyone else run into this and have a better tool for it?

Actually, that new sheathing is a nightmare with a standard blade. A lot of guys are switching to a razor knife with a shallow depth setting. It gives you way more control for just scoring the jacket.

Yeah, @gray_mason30 is totally right. I tried to use my regular knife on that stuff and just butchered it, cut way too deep into the wires. Switched to a razor knife and set it so only like a millimeter of the tip sticks out. Lets you just run it around the jacket with light pressure, then it snaps clean. Night and day difference.

Three guys in one month? That new material must be ridiculously soft.
