Heard a Cox tech on a job in Mesa say 'we don't fish walls, we map them' and it stuck with me
Was doing a triple play install in Mesa on Tuesday and the guy training me said that when I asked why he spent 10 mins tracing runs in the attic before drilling anything. He said every hole you cut is a promise you gotta keep, so mapping saves you from a callback. So my setup now is sketch the attic first, anyone else doing this or do you just start poking holes and hope for the best?

Sketching first is the move, no question. Poking holes blind just buys you a callback.
