I finally figured out why that one house kept losing signal on the second floor
Met a guy last month in Oakwood who had this weird flickering issue every evening around 6pm. He said he was watching TV in the living room downstairs fine but the bedroom upstairs would cut out for like 15 minutes at a time. I spent a good hour checking splitters and connectors with my meter, everything looked clean. Then I happened to be there during dinner time and noticed the microwave in the kitchen was right under the bedroom. He'd heat up leftovers for 10 minutes straight and the signal just dropped. I moved his main splitter from the basement to a closet on the first floor and reran the drop with a better shielded cable. That fixed it. Has anyone else dealt with weird interference from appliances that took forever to track down?

Honestly just rerunning shielded cable solved that exact problem for me.

Easier than messing with filters for sure.
