One Tuesday in Nashville changed my mind about using fiberglass fish rods

Honestly, I was a die-hard fiberglass guy for years, swore by them. Then I snapped my second rod in a week on a rough pull through an attic in Nashville near the Gulch. A buddy named Mike handed me his Glow Rod and I finished the job without breaking a sweat. Has anyone else switched away from fiberglass after a bad day on site?

Heard a crew lead from out in Cookeville say the same thing after he lost a whole day's pay because his rod kept grabbing on conduit. Switched over to a different material and never looked back. Sometimes one bad day is all it takes to change your mind lol.

My buddy Kyle up in Clarksville had a fiberglass rod snap on him mid-pull in a crawlspace under this old Victorian house off West Main. The broken end got jammed in the flex conduit and he had to cut out like four feet of pipe to get it free, cost him half a day and a new roll of cable. He went out that same evening and grabbed a carbon composite rod from the hardware store on Jefferson and hasn't touched fiberglass since. Says the extra cost was worth not having to deal with that mess again.
