PSA: That new splicer at the yard told me he clocks 40 hours a week just on pre-wiring and it made me realize I've been doing it all wrong
He said he uses a color coded tagging system on every drop before he even starts and I swear I wasted half a day last week untangling a mess at a big house in Greenpoint.

Exactly. "It's not rocket science" is such a cop out. Like okay sure it's not brain surgery but that doesn't mean it's totally pointless either. Bad tagging is how you end up on page 47 of search results with a bunch of cat food under the dog food category. It takes two seconds to not be sloppy about it.

Read an article that said tagging is basically how the whole internet stays organized behind the scenes. Without it you'd be scrolling through a million posts with no way to find anything. It's like throwing stuff in your closet and just calling it organized because the door closes. Sure it's not building a medical device but it's a lot more than just slapping words on things if you want it to actually work.
