Remember when a whole day of work could be blown by a single bad connector?
I had a job in a big apartment block where every single F-59 fitting in the building's main hub was corroded from a roof leak. Spent eight hours just re-terminating lines, my hands were raw from the crimp tool. What's the worst 'one bad part ruins everything' job you've walked into?

My buddy had to redo an entire kitchen backsplash because the homeowner bought one box of the wrong shade of subway tile and didn't notice until it was all set. They mixed it in randomly, so it looked like a weird checkerboard. He spent a full day just chipping thinset, it was brutal.

Always check the dye lot numbers on the boxes before you start. Tile colors can shift between batches. If you get a box that's off, use it in a corner behind the fridge or something. Once thinset sets, you're looking at a hammer and chisel to fix it. Not a fun way to spend a Saturday.

Seriously? A whole day to redo it over one box of slightly off tiles? That seems like a massive overreaction. Unless it was a crazy neon green mixed into white, most people would never even spot it. Sounds like the contractor just wanted to charge for another day's work lol.
