TIL that cheap coax connectors cost me a whole Saturday redoing a job

I used to buy those bargain barrel compression connectors from the hardware store to save a few bucks. Last month I did a big install for a customer in Austin, and by Wednesday half the connections had signal drop issues. Spent 8 hours on a Saturday pulling cable and swapping to proper PPC connectors. Has anyone else found that spending an extra 20 cents per connector saves you from callbacks?

Nah, sometimes paying more just means paying for a brand name.

$150 for a basic hammer is insane, @river_allen. You could buy three decent ones for that and still have money left over.
