Watched a whole new-build in Mesa go from coax drops everywhere to one fiber box on the wall in about 6 years
Back around 2018 I was pulling 6 or 7 coax runs per house on new builds out in Mesa, one to each bedroom, living room, kitchen. Did a walkthrough on a place off Ellsworth last month and the builder spec had a single fiber drop to a media panel and CAT6 to a few spots, coax was barely on the sheet. The framers told me it's been that way since the big providers started pushing fiber to the home around 2021. Feels strange not lugging a spool of RG6 up a ladder anymore. Any of you still pulling heavy coax in new construction or has your area moved on too?
