Found out a old timer repair guy gave me wrong advice on shutter speeds
Met a guy named Pete at a camera swap in Denver, said I should always use the fastest shutter speed to avoid any blur. Tried it on a 1950s Rolleiflex I was fixing and the whole timing mechanism got thrown off because it needed a specific slower speed for the gears to mesh right. Ended up spending 7 hours resetting the escapement because of his bad tip. Has anyone else run into repair advice that just messed things up worse?
