I finally stopped using canned air for sensor cleaning after a camera show in Portland
Honestly, I've been using those little cans of compressed air for years to blow dust off sensors. But at the Portland Camera Show last month, a repair guy named Mark showed me a sensor with oil spots that were way worse after canned air use. He explained how the propellant can spit liquid onto the sensor and leave a residue you can't see until it's too late. Spent $45 on a proper Giottos rocket blower right there at his booth. Ngl, I felt dumb for not figuring this out sooner. Anyone else had issues with canned air leaving junk behind?

Ah man @leodavis, that really sucks for your buddy. Two hundred bucks is a brutal lesson, but I guess it beats ruining a whole camera.

Man, a buddy of mine wrecked his whole sensor with that liquid spray and had to pay $200 for a cleaning.
