My old Coleman stove was a total nightmare on our Yosemite trip
I used to just grab whatever cheap stove was on sale, but after a windy morning trying to boil water for 45 minutes with my old Coleman, I finally upgraded. I got a Jetboil Flash last year and it boils a liter in under two minutes, even when it's cold. Has anyone else made the switch to a faster cooking system and found it changed your whole morning routine?

Honestly, the time saved was nice, but the real change for me was mental. That old stove stress, watching the fuel canister sputter, it made mornings tense. Now I know my water will boil fast and I can just relax with my coffee. It turned a chore into a quiet moment to actually enjoy being outside.

Oh man, you just nailed it. I totally used to think faster gear was just about saving minutes. But that peace of mind is everything, isn't it? Turns a simple task into the best part of the morning.

Totally get what you're saying, @the_grace. Had the same lightbulb moment last season. Upgraded my stove and the difference wasn't just the clock. That old feeling of rushing just vanished. My brain could finally shut off and I'd just stare at the steam coming off the pot. It stopped being a race and just became part of the trip.
