Someone online called my sleeping bag setup 'a recipe for a cold night' because I kept it in its stuff sack.

They said storing it compressed kills the loft, and after a chilly trip to Mount Hood, I started hanging it loose in my closet. Anyone have a good storage trick for a small apartment?

Hanging it is the way to go! Did you notice a big difference in warmth after you started storing it loose?

A big trash bag works too, and @miles_young59 is right about the warmth coming back.

My old closet was tiny, so I got one of those big mesh laundry bags from the dollar store. I keep the sleeping bag in there, nice and loose, and hang it on the back of my bedroom door. It doesn't take up any closet space and the bag lets it breathe.
