Unpopular opinion: My new tent's rainfly setup is a total nightmare
I got this fancy two-person tent last spring, a brand I won't name but you've seen the ads. The big selling point was the 'quick pitch' system. Let me tell you, it was anything but quick. The first time I tried to set it up in my backyard, it took me a solid 45 minutes just to get the rainfly clipped and tensioned right. The clips are these tiny, fiddly things that look cool but slip off the pole ends if you breathe wrong. I had to redo the whole side three times because one corner would be tight and the opposite would be sagging like a wet sock. The instructions might as well have been in another language with their little diagrams. I was out there with a headlamp on, getting more and more annoyed. Has anyone else had a tent that promised ease but delivered a huge headache? What's your fix for a stubborn rainfly?

Honestly does it feel like everything is over-engineered now? Tbh my new coffee maker has so many buttons I need a manual just to make a regular cup.

Tell me about it. My TV remote has more buttons than my first car's dashboard. What's the worst feature you've seen added to a simple product? Like, do we really need wifi in a toaster?

Ugh, absolutely. Smart mirrors. Saw one that needs an app just to turn on the light. It's a mirror. You look in it. That's the whole job. Feels like they solve problems nobody actually has.
