Dropped $89 on a 'compliance starter kit' from a Toronto fintech and it was just a folder of PDFs
Last month I paid $89 for a digital compliance starter kit from a small Toronto fintech that promised to help me get my lending app off the ground, and it turned out to be nothing but a shared drive full of outdated PDFs. For that money I could have paid a lawyer for one real hour, so now I'm out the cash and still no closer to figuring out what the heck OSFI actually wants from a tiny startup like mine. Did anyone here find a cheap or free resource that actually helped with early stage compliance, or did you all just bite the bullet and hire someone?
