Had a week where Wealthsimple crashed during a client demo
Last Tuesday I was showing a new client how easy it is to move their RRSP onto Wealthsimple and the app just locked up mid-transfer. Right in front of them, refresh button doing nothing for 5 minutes straight lol. Then it finally worked but showed the wrong balance for like 3 hours. Client still signed up somehow but man that was awkward. Anyone else have a demo go totally sideways with a Canadian fintech tool?

That 3 hour balance glitch is basically Wealthsimple's version of "it's not a bug, it's a feature." My favorite part is when you're sitting there sweating like you're the one who broke their servers lmao. Next time just tell the client you're demonstrating Wealthsimple's new "mystery balance" feature for risk assessment purposes.

Holy crap, it showed the WRONG balance for 3 HOURS? That's not a little glitch, that's a full on nightmare scenario. I'd be sweating bullets the whole time hoping they don't notice the numbers are all wrong. Glad they still signed up but man, you got lucky there.

Keep a screenshot of everything next time... covers your butt when numbers go haywire.
