Had a client's antique dresser fall apart on the stairs in Boise last month

We were moving a family into a third-floor walk-up. One leg of the dresser snapped on the second landing. My guy froze, just held it there. I told him to set it down gently against the wall. We used ratchet straps from the truck to bind it tight, then finished the carry flat like a table. Anyone got a better fix for a broken leg mid-move?

Got any wood glue and clamps handy?

Listen, ratchet straps are a hack, not a real fix. They put weird pressure on a joint and can pull it out of square. Jamie_carter87 might have gotten lucky once, but proper clamps spread the force evenly. You need that wood glue to set without stress, or the bond will be weak. Just wait until you can get the right tools.
