Hit $20k in commission last month and it felt weird

I closed $1.8M in volume during June and took home just over $20k after splits. First time I've ever crossed that threshold in 5 years of selling homes. Has anyone else hit a random income milestone that caught them off guard?

Wait, $20k from $1.8M in volume? That split seems brutal. What's your commission rate after splits, like 1%? At that volume with a traditional 3% total commission you'd think it'd be higher. @michael_coleman10 I get the anxiety thing though - I'd be scared to spend a dime of it.

Gotta love paying taxes on money you haven't even earned yet, right? I remember hitting $15k for the first time and spending half of it on stuff I didn't need just because I felt like a big shot. Now I'm just waiting for the market to flip and take my commission check with it.

Yeah, "felt weird" is a good way to put it. I hit a similar number a couple years back and it honestly just made me anxious, like when's the other shoe gonna drop. Good for you though, that's a solid month.
