I keep seeing coworkers fall behind because they skip this one habit

Lately, I've noticed a pattern in my workplace where experienced developers are getting left out of key projects. It's not because they're bad at coding, but because they stopped learning new tools and methods. For instance, my team lead who was great with old systems couldn't contribute when we moved to cloud-based solutions. Isn't it scary how fast things change in our field? If you don't make time to update your skills regularly, you might find yourself irrelevant sooner than you think. I try to set aside a few hours each week to explore new tech or take online courses. Don't wait until it's too late to start learning again.

Honestly though, when you say other fields, do you mean it's actually worse somewhere else? Like is tech changing faster or is it just more obvious here?

That's the scary part about how fast things move.

Didn't I read something about this happening in other fields too?
